Biosourced molecules
A local project
We created Prevcarb in March 2021, in Normandy (France) and we work for the global transition towards a circular and low carbon economy. Our field: the transformation of non-food biomass. We supply the chemical industry with three biosourced platform molecules: lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose obtained from flax shives. Our action is built in a local perimeter for the respect of the environment.
Our skills in chemistry, project management and finance are the fruit of a long experience and our convictions in favor of the exit from oil compel us to act now. We believe in valuing our biomass as an alternative to fossil fuels and implementing the processes.

A virtuous awareness.
France is the leading producer of flax in the European Union. The earth is a source of resources that we have to protect and enhance. To be aware of this is necessary as we speak.
Flax fiber production sites
16 cooperatives (SCA)14 private companies (SA ou SARL)
Harvested area in 2020
141 396 ha
For oilseeds, the straw yield produced varies between 2.9 and 13.8 tons of dry matter (tMS) per hectare depending on the region and the species (rapeseed, sunflower, soybean, oilseed flax, camelina and mustard). Only rapeseed straw is considered technically harvestable, at 40% due to significant material losses during mowing operations.
No straw harvesting practices could be identified for the other oilseed species. The national theoretical available volume (TAV) is 1.1 million tMS, excluding return to agronomic soil.
The minimum return to the soil (buried or left in the field) to maintain the agronomic potential of cultivated soils varies from 27% of the DTV in the Occitanie region to 96% of the same volume in the PACA region.

The associates
Jean-Marc Grigorieff
Jean-Marc Grigorieff has a basic training in chemistry. He started his career in the fertilizer industry (YARA) for 8 years, 4 years in operation and 4 years in the laboratory. The rest took place for 18 years in the titanium dioxide industry (THANN ET MULHOUSE, MILLENIUM, LYONDELL) first 6 years in the laboratory then in operation in the management of different workshops, from production to maintenance.
In the 2000s, he completed his training with a master's degree in management obtained at the Normandy Management School.
In 2006 he took over the management of a plant producing chemical products from plants until 2020 (SCRD)
In 2020 he became independent in the field of consulting and training.
In 2020 he became independent in the field of consulting and training. In 2021, he joined the PREVCARB project, which perfectly matches his desire to participate in the creation of a more virtuous chemical company that is part of the approach to exploiting renewable resources.
Jean-Marc lives in Le Havre.
Alexis Nass
Alexis Nass began his career in the treasury and capital markets department of Groupama Banque in a versatile front office activity: cash management, refinancing (issues and repo), management of bond portfolio for own account, execution of operations exchange and sales to customers.
Since 2015 Alexis has converted to teaching finance at Paris Dauphine University, IAE Caen and EMLV (Leonard de Vinci School of Management), as well as in professional training, mainly providing training preparation for certification by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) for employees of banking establishments.
Alexis has always had a strong entrepreneurial spirit even when he was an employee. He now wants to combine it with his desire to participate in the ecological transition.
